UNITED STATES VS SOUTH AFRICA

So far in miss garbers history class we learned about the conflicts of the United states and South Africa. The conflicts of the United States was the Civil war, and in South Africa it was Apartheid. Apartheid means seperateness in afrikans.

The United States and South Africa had a length of conflicts. South Africas conflicts lasted for 40 years, and The U.S. lasted for 4 years. Both had a history of colonization slavery and segregation.
They both had racial factors and other racial issues. The united States had enslavement and forced migration af Africans. South Africans were colonized by the British and Dutch. The united States mistreated the migrant workers in Poland, Italy, Thailand, and Ireland. South Africa mistreated migrant workers in India.

South Africa has land ownership as well as the United States. South Africas ownership was De Jure White, United States was De Sacta White. In the United States the War ended with a treaty. This treaty was signed by the confederates and the union stating that they would become one union in peace. The Apartheid was settled with a reform.

The results of these battles changed the lives of many. In the United states the slaves were now free. Although they were free they were mostly still segregated, and living under extreme regulations. In South Africa the Apartheid made situations much worse. The reform made many African Americans not like White Africans and the fact that they still wanted to be separate.

wow i didnt know that the same issue for us only lasted 4 years while Apartheid lasted about 40 years... hats a long time. but what i dont get in the old days why make the irish, chinese, and blacks work their butts off for only a little wage while white people had better benefits and better wages. and they didnt even have to work their butts of. i think that its stupid how you make one group of people work while the other group is just sitting around there doing nothing and that was just plain stupid but anyways great blog

First off, I love your Blog Name. I also like how you made comparisons between both the United States and South Africa. I think that it is up surd that South Africa's conflicts lasted 40 years where as America's only lasted 4. It's sad that the reform changed many African Americans view on many of the White Africans. Situations like these tend to change many peoples view on issues. Overall, good job, I was very interested!

Short and sweet is how I like blogs and that's definitely how yours was 'miss boycesterous'-- i love that blog name! : ) haha. It really is odd how slavery in South Africa lasted 4 times longer than it did in the United States. The South Africans still alive today that had to endure all that torture for decades must be pretty mentally strong now. A lot of those kids have to walk miles just to attend school; I know I couldn't do that every day.

You did a good job of linking the racial issues of south africa and america. I had no idea that apartheid lasted so long. Its very surprising that things could go on that way for so long, and nothing changed. In America, things always seem to be changing.
